OF COURSE WE BATTLED! In a world where heat is the norm, Phoenix hit the magic number of 100 and DAK tankers faces truly North Afrikan heat conditions. Our crew of wiley veterans and numerous beginners made the day fun and worth while for all! A new T55M hit the field along with the operational debut of the JUMBO and Duane’s latest Tiger. New Tshirts pleased the crowd and some tanks exchanged hands in the true swap meet nature of our events! We look forward to our upcoming Tucson and night battles but first we need to do some serious tanking!
On a positive note, we awarded the first Doug Sharpe award for outstanding service to the club to the honorable John Gibson. John serves as our venerable “First Sargent” and keeps us functioning in many ways. On a side note, thanks to Mitch Scherb for introducing us to the laser cutting capabilities that allowed our “trophy” to be laser cut from stainless steel!
