As season finales go, DAK faired pretty well in attendance, and the weather department. Temps in the low ‘90s, a good breeze, and no one was taken by the “Rapture” Tank olympics has a new champion, Duane edged out the previous champion and (Club CO) by ten seconds.
XO Craig debuted the new KT, and (new) Craig showed up with his (now working) Tiger. The old SU-122 is back from Daryl with new transmissions, and several new faces made the stop to check us out!
The surprise of the day was an unexpected extension of the west end of our field with an open corridor and new carpet to act as the autobahn. We added some train tracks and a road bed to fill the space. The darkness was handled well by all and no injuries this time around. Bar-b-que was super as usual, as a group we have managed to expand and cement our status as the most active group in the west. The DAK lady warriors are expanding as well. Nice!
